Life Rites Funerals

Victoria and her team are incredible at what they do. We first came across Life Rites when we attended a funeral for a dear friend of ours who died far too young. It was an exceptionally emotional service and Victoria expertly navigated it with grace, compassion and some much needed humour. Unfortunately my dear dad passed away a few weeks later and when I made the call to Victoria I knew I had called the right people. I havent been in this position before so was navigating all the admin for the first time and grieving which is very tricky. Victoria guided us every step of the way. And helped to deliver the party that my dad wanted. Thank you to Victoria and her team. I highly recommend them.

I had not expected to be cared for and my emotional needs considered so sensitively. I lost a baby and Victoria helped make it possible to have their body taken and looked after much more quickly than I thought possible. It allowed me to step into the next phase a continue on my healing journey. I really didn't feel like a number but a human. Incredible service provided here.

Victoria and her team held our tribe together with such grace, incredible skill and sensitivity, and a healthy dose of humour - she helped us navigate and gave us words for experiences we didnt yet have a language for. Their services are human centred in every way and I hope that every person is honoured in the way Life Rites supports when facing end of life, dying and grief. From the first point of contact to the end, Victoria and her team helped us transition into our grief in the most gentle and sensitive way possible. From the time Jimmy and Andreas arrived to transport my mother to Life Rites, it was evident that this was no ordinary funeral home. The unique opportunities that were created to care for my mother all the way to the funeral and beyond, added a depth and closure to the process that I have not felt in past losses. Kim was so empathic and supportive and the dignity and respect with which my mother was treated was incredible. Victoria's guidance throughout went a long way in assisting our family to restore my mother to her fullest; and give her the most wonderful send-off we could have imagined. By the end of the funeral service, I experienced a profound joy. Life Rites was an hour away from where we are located, however, the car trips there and back were helpful in that it offered space and time to reflect before going back into the chaos of family. We found Victoria and the Life Rites Funerals team (Kim, Sarah, Martin, Cally and Vaike) when our mother was going through palliative care and returned again two months later when our brother passed away. We called and met with Victoria and the team at the funeral home over cups of tea, as they slowly walked us through the process, outlining the options and next steps. They put our minds at ease during what was a very emotional time for the family and I. They helped us organise a bespoke and unique funeral service for each, a beautiful send off, giving us closure. Helping us navigate love, life, loss and grief, and allowing us to move forward gently with peace and clarity.
