I recently went to see Dr De Silva to have some spider veins treated. Dr De Silva suggested an ultra--sound. The charge for the ultra-sound was a staggering $600.00. My first session went well and the results were good. After paying $500.00 I noticed it said on the invoice, Microsclerotherapy - to a maximum of 6 treatments in a 12 month period. I understood that to mean that would cover me for another 5 treatments. After my second session I was again charged another $500.00. When I queried this I was told that Medicare would only pay on 6 treatments in 12 months. I believe this information on the invoice in incredibly misleading. Overall, I think Dr De Silvas rates are exorbitant.
