Unlike most doctors here in Sydney, Dra. Marita Garcia has genuine concern for her patients. She does not discount what the patient is complaining about as merely "poor posture" or "muscle pain" but rather, she takes the initiative to recommend the necessary laboratory tests to really check if there is something wrong with you. Before I found Dra. Marita, I have been to countless doctors who always tell me that, in their own words, "you are way too young to be sick. You're probably just not eating well/exercising enough/have poor posture etc." Well screw these doctors - I had high school and college schoolmates who died from cancer and for them to tell me I am way too young to be sick makes me utterly frustrated especially since I am paying huge amounts of taxes to the government. And this is really why I highly recommend Dra Garcia - she will really take the time to investigate if there is something wrong with you regardless of your age.

Dr Garcia is highly proficient and very helpful. She puts in the time and effort for the best treatment. Definitely worth the wait :)

The lovely Dr Garcia works there. But there are definitely some room for improvement. Here are 3 suggestions: 1. Doctors need to value patient's time - I understand that you're the doctor and the patients are coming to see you, but time is still precious for everyone. Not a good look when you constantly book in an appt at say 12pm (first appt of the day for the Dr) and the Dr walks in at 12:30pm to start her day when there is a room full of patients waiting. This has happened NUMEROUS times. 2. Put some money/energy to revamp the waiting area of the medical centre. Yes it's just aesthetics but with no windows and green everywhere, it looks and feels old and stuffy. Not pleasant to be in the waiting area, especially as you have to wait at least half an hour every time. 3. Really feel like the Drs need as much professional development as any other profession. Feels like knowledge given to me as patient is quite basic and repeated.
