A sleep study showed I only slept 37mins an hour and often woke up choking. The sleep well machine didn't work on me, I would fall asleep anywhere including work. My Apnoea was so bad now, I could lose my license. Dr Tahiti immediately understood my problem & referred me to Dr Joachim in Feb 2023, I couldn't believe it but once I was fitted with the mouth guard my sleeping improved by 85%. I came to Dr Joachim Ngiam after sleep studies + multiple ENT visits + failed attempts to help my snoring (tried new pillows, sleeping positions, mouth and nasal sprays, the works) he was my last chance before a surgical option. The mouth piece has been a major success and instant results. Its comfortable to sleep in and easy maintenance. Also great some of the cost was covered under my health insurance (general dental). Dr Ngiam and team at Parramatta/Gosford are very informative, knowledgable and helpful. Absolutely recommend to anyone who is the snorer or the poor partner sleeping next to a snorer. Life changing. I had a Somno Med mouth appliance for a number of years until the bottom piece snapped in half. I then saw Dr Jo where he fitted a fully reinforced Mandibular Advancement Splint. This appliance is fantastic and I sleep very well by wearing it every night. Dr Jo is brilliant and is a real leading professional in this area.
