Issues after issues with staffing now all admins have been replace in the short 3 months I havent been there, my kids keep getting new psychology ppl every term with no reason as to why. My kids are entilted and need OT badly which ECM did help with for the girls 6 months 2 years ago since then its well book you in for new assessments for OT but no ot is booked for over 6 months and when appointments are made they are cancelled why even bother making appointments at all if you cant for fill them? I would like to say assistant OT Ella for her diligent hard work showing up without fail consistently for 6 months so far and Rachel in speech for being persistent in her job and goes to show some ppl in ECM do take their jobs seriously in helping disabled kids, minimal muck around, cancelations with these ladies, but some departments lack. Communication goes a long way with why services are withdrawn after they were made and admins just says we are only admin we dont know smh. I will also say not primary school kid friendly, some departments dont offer school visits but want you to have a middle of the day appointment for a school age child.

Unfortunately my experience with ECM psychology was not a positive one. I want to acknowledge that the admin staff were helpful and friendly and that my issue was that I didn't feel that the diagnosing clinician listened to what I had to say. I also felt that they were fairly disparaging and dismissed the input from my daughters teacher as well. I acknowledge that accurately diagnosing a child is a difficult task, particularly when you have different experiences from mum and dad but I found it disconcerting that the diagnosing clinician seemed to be speculating with certainty without really knowing anything about my child other than what we (parents and teacher) had experienced. They did not intend to actually observe my child for themselves, as I was told that she would, "mask her deficits anyway." I also received conflicting information from the clinician and was told that she had really good data to make an accurate diagnosis and then stated that she wished to do more assessments because of "discrepancies in the data." This is after I had already been advised of the diagnosis and treatment. I was advised that I would be able to access 12 thousand dollars of NDIS funding under an early intervention funding scheme upon the conclusion of her report. I felt it best to seek a second opinion and asked for copies of my daughters assessments and notes to take to another clinician, but I was told that this wasn't done because it's "unethical." Eventually, some notes were agreed to be forwarded to my daughters treating GP but only after unnecessary angst and reminding ECM psychology of their legal obligations under FOI. All I wanted was a second opinion with someone who I felt actually valued my experience and were comfortable in observing my daughter for themselves. I try to avoid negative reviews but I can't in good conscience recommend ECM psychology.
