Dr. Bernard Bourke

Would not recommend this surgeon whatsoever. He is so unprofessional and wanted to cut my toes off?? As he said nothing else could be done to fix the problem. After many tests never picked up blockages in my arteries. Luckily I wouldnt let him cut my toes off and went to seek more help. After many ultra sound treatments they found blockages in my main arteries to my legs. I googled a vascular surgeon in Sydney and they were keen to see me straight away. After seeing a great vascular surgeon in Sydney they booked me in to hospital to have two stents put in my arteries. I am now clear of the blockages and have still got my toes. Thank god i didnt listen to these second rate surgeons which to this day cannot believe they still practice. After travelling to Sydney many times I am so glad I found the best surgeon in Sydney at harbour vascular. Wow what a difference and I got to keep my toes. Do not go to see Bernie Bourke as you might regret it.

I found Dr Bourke a wonderful, caring Dr & the big plus is...he listens. I missed my appointment with him on 19/8, cldnt even ring his rooms to apologise, I've been in so much pain of a night with my ankle ulcer & achilles i haven't been able to fall asleep till daylight, then i wake feeling rotten, especially 2day as i needed to see him so i can get op on spine. Now i feel so bad i can't ring his rooms at all, nothing probably can be done anyway. It's all too late,sorry Dr Bourke

Friendly staff. Dr Bourke is understanding, listens to what you have to say and explains things in layman's terms so you have a full understanding. Very happy I was referred to him.

I found the staff very helpful cheerful. The Sonographer doing my ultrasound was helpful in explaining my condition awaiting for results from Doctor Burke 10 out of 10.

What a SCAM. Terrible and Rude reception that are nothing short of incompetent; when you ring and make the appointment the rude receptionist states they accept DVA white cards only to have another receptionist tell you they "only except Gold cards, sorry" (said in a rude smug way) and that is AFTER some test/Service was preformed that aggravates your injuries, that you have no knowledge about before hand, and then they try and charge just for that test which was never discussed and is not for seeing any doctor for a consultation, even though you repeatedly told first rude receptionist you need to see the doctor before anything is done. Is this the type of medical practices we are now adopting in Australia to preform tests on patients without knowing what their needs are? Or is this just how we treat our Australian Veterans, who have been injured serving our country? Disgraceful and nothing short of a get rich SCAM.
