Needed somewhere new to have my tax done as my accountant retired. Paid for the service on the day and was told my return should be in within a week. The accountant was telling me about how she forgot to lodge multiple returns and then proceeded to tell her clients that it was the ATO'S mess up. Three weeks later I'm still awaiting my return. I checked to see if it had been lodged and it had not. I sent an email that never got replied to and checked a few days later to see the return had finally been lodged. Disappointed that not only have I had to wait this long for my return when I paid for it on the day (my previous accountant would lodge the same day that it was payed) but that this isn't the first time this has happened to someone. Also spoke to my friend about my experience here and she said she had a similar one with the same accountant.
