This minimal contact thing theyre doing is just pure laziness. They make you wait out on a loud busy street with your pet and then they take it away and leave it somewhere inside until the vet is ready to see them. Retail, pubs and gyms are all open but this vet clinic wont let a handful of people sit in a room so they can keep their animals calm. An very unnecessarily stressful experience. Would not recommend.

I was happy with Greencross vet Five Dock until my last appointment here not too long ago. We saw a veterinarian we had never met before and from the moment I had walked in she was rude. She had no people skills what so ever, she was not sympathetic, she was just arrogant and to top it off she did not even have the equipment available to do the test required ie; Blood Test.. She advised that my cat had cancer just by looking at him for a second (When in fact he did not have cancer) THIS REVIEW I WROTE WAS A MONTH AGO BUT NOW I HAVE MORE TO ADD AS OF TODAY!!!!! My Kitten was microchipped by Dr Nicholas Green back in 2018 at Greencross Five Dock- I needed to update her details with the council as this vet put the incorrect spelling of my street name and my name was also spelled incorrectly. I was informed by the council today that her microchip details are not even registered in the system... So if my cat was to go missing I would never of been notified if she was found!!! TO EVERYONE WHOEVER HAS HAD THEIR PET MICROCHIPPED FROM GREENCROSS FIVE DOCK PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR LOCAL COUNCIL TO SEE IF ITS BEEN REGISTERED. I DO NOT TRUST THIS VETERINARY CLINIC AT ALL AS OF NOW. I WOULD HATE TO THINK OF THE PEOPLE THAT HAS HAD A PET MISSING, HOPING THAT PET WOULD BE FOUND AND SCANNED FOR THE CHIP AND TO NOW KNOW THAT THEIR PET WAS NOT EVEN REGISTERED. If anybody is looking for a loving, caring, welcoming and experienced vet I highly recommend Drummoyne Veterinarian Hospital - as they are not too far away from Greencross koo Five Dock.. Because of my experience with this specific veterinarian my family and friends will not be returning to Greencross Five Dock. More now to add from 21 May 2021. I thought my Dog was dying in my arms. I called every vet in the area to see who was opened I was desperate searching for somewhere close by, this place answered to hear me struggling trying to speak and what did they simply say take him to Homebush For this well known caring vet to reject the person on the other end of the phone thats crying out for help begging them, stating he is dying. They just simply turn there back and not even want to assist in any way. I then called Balmain who was closing in 10mins telling me they will wait for me to arrive just to bring him now. I feel sick to my stomach with Greencross Vet Five Dock. They are useless and they have not a care in the world other than your money. So... Do not waste your time!

I have taken my pet here twice on both occasions we have been forced to wait out on a busy street with other pets and owners. The pure lack of care for the extremely stressful environment they subject pets to before whisking them away without their owner is lazy, unprofessional and disrespectful. There is no reason legal or otherwise to not allow owners into consultations at this time. I would NOT recommend taking your pet here.
