V.A.R Crows Nest – Car Service, Mechanics & Repairs

Probably the worst and dodgiest group of mechanics Ive ever come across. Took my car in to get a pink slip check and quoted me a bunch of nonsense that had nothing to do with the safety check of the car. Took it to another place and all that was needed were new tires and the front bumper to be fixed on. VAR quoted me $170 for the front bumper to which I thought was reasonable. Took it back there early in the morning and said to me it would be done by 5pm. Called them at 4:30 and they said theyd call me back. Didnt hear from them after calling numerous times. Went back in the next day and they said they couldnt fix the bumper and couldnt contact me, such a waste of time. The state they left my car in was an abomination. Dirt and debris everywhere inside the interior. I highly recommend you avoid this place at all costs. My carpets had just been cleaned too

The guys here really helped me out when I had an emergency mechanical issue on my way home. The manager was super friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend!

We took our New car Honda 2016 with 76000kms on it , it had just been serviced from Honda 4 mths ago when we purchased the car , they said at VAR Crows Nest that beside the normal service all these things needed to be done so it would pass the road worthy pink slip ect. $5000.00 dollars worth, we were shocked so rang the Honda service team from were we bought the car, they asked for the photos of damage & quote, they couldn't believe the $$$$$ and lies that VAR told us & VAR admitted to Honda that the major stuff didn't really need to be done & some things not at all. Me & my Husband not know anything about cars were ROBBED Honda Said. Then told us there prices compared to VAR just for a basic service , VAR $650, Honda $340 and Honda went down the list on every thing else & were less than HALF of VAR prices for everything ,Honda said our prices are fixed not made up... VAR tried to tell us we do the highest quality so that's why it cost more... Honda said from the invoice its all lies..& don't ever go back...so please do not go . Honda saved us also from from getting another part done worth $2000.00 that SAID IT MUST BE DONE SOON! Fear into us .Honda looked at the photo's & said its rubbish its not necessary at all , VAR Admitted to Honda that it also didn't need to be done.. LIES, LIES...Be Warned..
