Lesley played a key role in the leadership team at Drummoyne Toastmasters from 2017 to 2021. Her contributions to Drummoyne Toastmasters are valuable and the benefits of her work are still noticed and utilised now, well after her departure.
To assist the clubs back office system, she implemented an Excel based system to manage member data, generate receipts, and make the clubs budget, forecasting and bank reconciliation available to the leadership team at a glance. Lesley developed a number of resources including easy to read role guide sheets with club branding to assist members perform roles at meetings.
She also took on the role as a Google Workspace Administrator for our Toastmaster District. It was through this role that she was able to negotiate access to a NFP Google Workspace for our club, enabling us to minimise our clubs costs in website hosting, domain name registration and enablement of large online meetings. Lesley migrated our files into Google Workspace, set up a new website using Google Sites and decommissioned our old website. This new environment enabled our leadership team to easily share files as we hand over to the next team.
With access to Google Meet, we were able to easily host online and hybrid meetings, enabling us to host meetings throughout the pandemic and maintain our member engagement and continue with our education in Pathways. Lesley provided mentoring, assistance and member engagement with Pathways, a complicated education system.
For the Toastmaster years (which run from July to June) in 2019/20 and 2020/21, Lesleys leadership helped enable the club to achieve the highest of awards from Toastmasters International to recognise and reward clubs that consistently maintain a high standard of service to their members and community.
