    We had a new a/c unit installed by Peninsula Air Conditioning. The job was quite complicated, but ultimately done in a very professional and tidy manner. We will continue to use them for annual servicing.

    Awful Awful unit. Please don't buy a Daikin unit. I have a unit which is about two years old and I've used very sparingly. Maybe 10 times each year. Switched it on today and it's throwing a L5 error. How can something so unreliable be sold and have returning customers???

    Endless emails that arent replied to, phones that arent answered, waiting on hold for 20mins to finally speak to someone who cant do anything and will get someone to call back who never does. I would give customer service 0 stars if I could. Fix your customer service.

    We installed over $10,000 worth of Daikin split systems about five years ago. Just after the warranty period ended, the split system in our children's room failed, at the height of summer. We have always maintained these systems exactly as required in the manual, have always kept the filters clean and have had all the units serviced. We contacted Daikin in good faith, explained our situation and asked that they observe the warranty as we were only just outside the official warranty period. They refused. I was told that "Daikin prides itself on the quality of its products". If this is the case, then they should not be happy about the failure of one of their units after only five years of light use. If they think that it's normal and acceptable for a well-maintained Daikin system to fail after five years, then that's disheartening and should concern all potential future Daikin customers. From Daikin's own website: "When you choose Daikin, you do so with the confidence of knowing you have many years of worry-free comfort ahead". This is disappointing corporate behaviour and falls short of the level of customer service that I had expected and hoped for, when making the decision to invest so heavily in Daikin products. I cannot recommend Daikin products to friends or family, and I would instead recommend a company that expects better of their products and deals with their customers in good faith.
