Chipping Norton Butchery

23/04/21 Since posting this review, sadly (for us) Mathew sold the butchery. We can only hope the new owners sell the same quality meat as Mathew did? It is so hard to find a butcher who sells decent edible meat these days? A great selection of fabulous meat's that you can eat and enjoy. Nothing was too much trouble for Mathew. If you love ham off of the bone like we do then you must try their freshly sliced ham. 20/02/21 We placed an order with Mathew for Saturday AM pick up, when we arrived our order was all packed up and ready to go. Mathew even carried our order out to our car. As I have mentioned previously if you love ham off the bone ask Mathew to keep some for you as it sells so quickly My wife & I drive from Green Valley to buy our meat from Mathew. Mathew, we can't thank you enough for the quality of your meats but also your outstanding service. Since posting last review my wife and I wanted to have a look at how the new shop owners were going. We were shocked by what we saw. Not a bright, well stocked butchers but what can only be described as a pathetic sight. The shop is closed, I'm not sure if the new owners ever did open the shop or not? Mathew, if you read this, we would love to know if you have opened another shop? Regards, Richard

Very disappointing service. Lady had her hand on the scale to increase the weight. Was told the marinated meat was pork ended up being beef.
