Very easy to deal with. My German Shepherd had cruciate TPLO surgery, which I thought would never happen. I had taken out Accident cover when he was one year old as I was living PT DIDO in a National Park hence snake threat and being 50 mins away to nearest vet. My insurance payment for his cruciate was a great help as TPLO is one of the most expensive surgeries a dog can have. Recovery is long and challenging for a large dog. So having this financial support is a good thing to have. I have recommended to many people here in Devonport to take petsure insurance.

I was originally sceptical about pet insurance but we went with PIA. Our fit and healthy 2-year-old cavoodle had to have an emergency operation to get rid of a grass seed. We put our claim in and the next day PIA acknowledged our claim. The day after they said it was being processed. The day after that our 80% refund was in our bank account. No questions asked. Sticking with them for peace of mind. Not dodgy.

Peace of Mind and Well Worth It!! I have 3 cats all on the Major Medical Cover ever since my oldest cat became sick a few years ago and realized first hand just how expensive it can be. I made the decision to insure all my cats and have not regretted it especially after Moonie became ill last month with gastro symptoms a week before I was due to fly out on a family trip. After finding out from my vet that they participate in the GAP with Pet Insurance Australia, it was a huge financial relief that I had one less thing to be concerned about. It was comforting that I could make on the spot decisions for all the tests to be booked in and the best hospital care prior to the Easter holiday period without worrying about my budget or making any payments until she was discharged. With the GAP I only had to pay the difference between the cover amount and the non-covered costs. I even received a courtesy email to check in on Moonie a month after her medical episode and to ensure that my experience with PIA was up to their high standards. I consider pet insurance to be a Medicare benefit for my pets and I thank Pet Insurance Australia for making the process of claims including the GAP quick and simple so I can put more focus on my pet's recovery.
