Had the nicest experience in Oma, the food was spectacular. I cant speak any more highly of Will the host. He knew what to suggest, I was so impressed with his knowledge of the menu and wine list! Will be back. The ambiance was beautiful as well!

This is the second time we have eaten here. Both times we have been underwhelmed by the menu but have enjoyed the ambience. Last night we had the feed me menu which was an eclectic group of simple dishes which didnt really work together including 2 different salami dishes (!!), 1 king fish dish which was honestly not a patch on Bang Bangs kingfish (or Chin Chin). A nice potato dish, but hard to go wrong with potatoes, a weird soft cheesey walnut dish and a very simple but pleasant chicken followed by the most ordinary desert rice pudding which tasted like a boring breaky. We also waited for over 5 minutes to be seated as did the other 2 couples waiting behind us. The redeeming feature was our lovely waitress who was attentive and chatty. I so want to love this place but the food needs improving.

Right, where to start. Beware for novel to follow. But credit where credits due. These guys are an absolute sensation. They're a little off the beaten track but a beautiful little find, up that staircase. Food - Something for everyone - I like to think I know about food, but when these guys present the dishes, you get the full back story to the dish, its origins and all that jazz. Thats a bit of USP for me. There's a certain passion for the product that for sure shines through, instead of spaces that give a scripted nonsense, these guys have a genuine air when they're letting you know what they're serving. I went to their event with Casey from BarLiberty, and it was epic. start to finish, so good. So if you get to book into an event, Do it!! Since then I reckon I've been back at least once a week, whether its for a post work wind down cocktail and chat. *Special mention to that in-house made Vermouth. Wow. takes that Friday night negroni to another level. Even if booze isn't your vibe, they've got all those non alcoholic spirits. Aesthetics - They've got wall to wall graphics of the local artist Mlak, gives a cheeky pop of colour to the space. Super chilled atmosphere, no airs of pretentiousness, the space is mega easy on the eye. And decent playlist popping off in the back too. Basically, its that grown up wine bar you've always wanted as your local haunt, staff who know what tf they're doing, and they want you to enjoy your night. Winner in my book. My go to's; Ramen eggs. YES please. Any special they've got going as they're always a banger. in house made bread, Yum. Ooh the pickles, tasty little number. The beet salad with ricotta (I think) mega creamy and little toasted oats. OR hit up the Feed me menu. Winner, all the good stuff as it comes. If you love a negroni, you won't be disappointed by theirs, and get the vermouth. underlying sweetness boosting about. Also one of the best Martini's I've ever had the pleasure of gracing my palate. Also here's praying that those deep fried beef tendons go on some form of bar menu because my god they captured this Scottish kids heart. And that bacon jam.
