It was entirely unclear to me what was "eco" about the joint. By the end, I'd inferred two meanings. First, it means they're cheap. There are no new towels, except after day 8. You are to take out your own garbage (no recycling), lest there be a crippling fee. Detergent? $3. Tea? $1 (Bushells only). Second, it means they're comediacally militant. We had two infractions leading to the despatch of the Security Marshall. First, we locked our key inside ($80). Then, noise complaint ($80). Both times noted in lead pencil in a little paper notebook. Both times with an officious message: "I'm gonna need to see some ID" and "party's over!" Honestly, leave a spare key in the lock box and just give me a buzz and ask me to keep it down. Don't police and fleece me. Otherwise, it's a good experience. Close to all of beautiful Byron. Basic but adequate facilities. Everything works.

Shower leaked all over the floor, staff came to fix it, the fix was to take off the seal of the shower. The shower door still didnt close without the seal and there was no handle on the inside so no way to stop the bathroom from flooding when we showered. We were not offered an alternative room or anything. Had to ask for more towels as the staff member left the room to try and mop up the water. The aircon unit outside leaked the whole time so we couldnt use the outside seating area on the private patio without getting wet feet unless we wore shoes. We could hear the vacuum cleaner every morning around 8am which didnt make morning very relaxing. One of the rules was that you had to take out your own bin. Felt less like a hotel and more like a low budget Airbnb. The plastic kettle was super stained internally, there was a dirty bowl with food stuck to the inside and the carpet in the bedroom was frayed. This didnt feel like a $300 a night hotel. I would have made more of a fuss about it but we were only there for two days and were exhausted from travelling.
