Loft Byron Bay

We visited this place for a pre-dinner drink during the ANZAC weekend. The place is upstairs, elegant, and classy. The decor and presentation is excellent. The drinks were nice but the menu is perhaps not huge for vegetarians. The place is what one would call a nice / premium place.

Bar close to Byron beach on Jonson street. Good view from the balcony seating. Not recommened for cocktails. The bartender coudnt even get the classic reciepe right. Food options are limited and overall it was an overly priced place for the food and drinks that was served.

This place is extremely close to perfect. When we first arrived, our first impressions was the decor and location was very slick and polished. We were seated at a table near a collection of insta-inspired Melbournites and were concerned The Loft was going to be all style and no substance. I am so glad we were wrong. The staff were extremely attentive and gave honest opinions on the menu. When our cocktails and food arrived we were completely blown away. The drinks were complex and at a very high standard. The food can only be described as perfect. My partner and I shared an entree, main and side and found the portions to be bang on. We had the sliders, ribs and brocollini. Words can't describe how amazing every was. We left the Loft ranting about how that comes close to the best experience we've had in a long while. Thanks for an amazing night. I can't wait to be back.
