Terrible service. DO NOT TRUST THEM AT ALL!. BOYCOTT!. They will be sued. Liars. I was traumatised by a situation and being the racist, lying, hypocritical, judgmental, assuming, manipulative people that they are (notably the female owner - Liz) they slandered and defamed me with a rumor. Never once did I say anything or suggest that a person was a perpetrator. I used an umbrella term and they twisted what I said with their interpretation in conjunction with the police. They also lack integrity which is necessary to build trust with people not the other way around. You ask people how they are feeling, what they believe and think - not assume and then punish them for it, Liz also refused to give me a manual that they were selling!. Information is given freely - she didn't invent anything and nothing was copywritten that wasn't available. I was also judged about not bringing seemingly enough food. I brought as much as I could given that I wasn't working which was enough and I ate little. And when I went to pray in the Church she asked me what I was doing there. Ummm hello, to pray!. The door was open and I was using the service. Had I been a white Anglo I would have been treated extremely differently. Their day is coming soon.

My 5 nights at HFL was a life changing experience. It has been the only time in my whole life I've been able to feel my feelings in a safe space, free from judgement, with people who "got it". The connections I made with the other guests were unforgettable & I hope will last a lifetime. The counsellors were so supportive, understanding & loving. I highly recommend anyone who has childhood trauma to give it a go. You deserve it.

Having worked within the foundation myself, my experience has left me disappointed in the authenticity of the foundation and their motivations. I personally find them disingenuous and lacking integrity across multiple practices. The only positive I can attest to is the psychologist on staff who are brilliant with their clients.

I feel so grateful to have been fortunate enough to experience an adult healing week at Heal For Life. The location is superbly immersed in nature. You get the opportunity to unplug and escape the responsibilities of everyday life. The staff and volunteers are incredibly welcoming and supportive, I truly felt safe and heard. The program and content is well structured and delivered to allow you to look inwards and listen to your body and the messages it is trying to send. You have the opportunity to process past trauma and negative experiences in a safe and supported manner. They also teach you the skills to continue doing this once you leave and return home. I had a truly profound experience and understand how my trauma had continued to negatively show up in my life as an adult and parent. I feel empowered to break the cycle of abuse and trauma that has plagued my family. I feel hopeful that my girls will have a brighter future and I trust that I have the skills to continue healing myself. Forgiveness is a great place to be. I cant recommend this experience enough. If you are considering attending, I urge to you to give it a go. You will be surprised at how life changing it can be. Kate xox

Life changing is the only way I can describe my Adult Healing week! Not only did I meet and spend time with some beautiful people, the workshops and group sessions helped me to identify feelings, learn how to de-trigger myself in times of fight/flight/freeze, and then go deeper still to work on processing long-held emotions (some dating back to childhood). I left the healing week feeling as if a great weight had been lifted off my shoulders and chest, and credit some long overdue plate smashing in the anger pit and screaming to the hills for shifting this, and thank our facilitator and team members, who provided a safe space for us to express emotions as we needed to feel them, without judgement. Instead they showed nothing but compassion, love and understanding. Since returning home, I have been able to implement many of the skills learnt during my week, and have been able to be more present, calm and compassionate with my own family. Im hopeful about the future, and have let a number of negative feelings go. That said, I know that healing can be a life-long process, but Im so grateful to Heal for Life, to have had the opportunity to start it.
