This is truly one of the best places to learn Capoeira in Sydney, if not Australia. The location is excellent and the space perfect for Capoeira, with wooden flooring, plenty of space and a mirrored wall. The school is warm and welcoming and has the feeling of a real family/community that you can enjoy being part of. Professor Neguinho has incredibly advanced knowledge and teaches in a holistic way, ensuring his students know the fundamentals of not only the physical movements of Capoeira, but also the foundation of Capoeira, including the historical trajectory and development of the art form and the music and instruments which are an integral part of it all too. He also does great work with the open roda where all Capoeiristas are encouraged to participate and play every fortnight, encouraging string relationships between different Capoeira groups. Highly recommended.

Capoeira Gerais Australia can also be found under Centro de Cultura Canzu Capoeira - Capoeira Gerais Australia. Professor Neguinho shares extensive knowledge into the history and culture of Capoeira. Professor Neguinho is an excellent teacher and always makes sure his students get the most out of his training. The classes cover all aspects of Capoeira: Movement training, Maculele, Music, knowledge sharing and insights into the Brasilian Culture. Classes are Tuesday's and Thursdays from 8pm till 9pm. Saturday's from 4pm till 5pm. Every Second Saturday of the week Professor Neguinho brings the community together through Capoeira Rodas. I highly recommend Professor Neguinho's Classes. I enjoy his classes a lot. The school is 10 minute walk from Bondi Junction train station. Traveling by car there are lots of parking opportunities available.

Capoeira Gerais Australia is awesome!!! I highly recommend it. I've been training Capoera for over 15 years and Capoeira Gerais in Sydney is one of the best place to learn Capoeira is a very rich artform. It is not focused on effectively disable an opponent. The strongest aspect of Capoeira is socializing. Being together with your comrades, playing a beautiful game, singing songs and being happy. This art reflects much of the Brazilian people desires and it figured out that many people all over the world share this idea. As a martial art Capoeira seems disvantagous, because of the strange and sometimes overcomplicated or apparently impossible moves. BUT a trained Capoeira has incredible reflexes, instincts and of course extraordinary physical conditions. He's able to evade attacks and counterattack in a such surprisingly way, that even martial art pros would have tremendous difficulties. Capoeira is a complex universe with unlimited facets which - even practiced the entire life -cannot be grasped. It's a very dynamic sport, art, martial art and educational instrument.
