Telstra Blacktown

Absolutely hopeless service! I went into the Blacktown Westpoint store to buy a data setup after the Telstra call centre number didn't answer. The store was empty of customers. Spoke to a staff member who said "Sit down, I'll get one of my boys out the back to help you." The fellow then went straight over to chat with his two colleagues near a computer terminal. Obviously, he didn't go out the back room to grab anyone. After ten minutes unattended, I just left. Three staff members chatting away in an empty shop right in front of a customer waiting ten minutes for service is very disrespectful. It's a shame too, with no NBN to my residence and living in a black spot where only Telstra seems to have cellular range. Such disrespect is ignorant and insulting. Will NEVER use Telstra. They're pathetic. A complete waste of time calling or going in face-to-face. Lazy staff with no customer service training! No doubt, the store owner will attach some platitudes below and add an appointment link, which speaks volumes about staff management and training. I had a similar experience at the major telco provider's store in Dubai Mall, with customer service staff floating about not deigning to provide service. Quite bizarre. At Blacktown Westpoint, both Optus and Vodafone staff responded to my inquiry as soon as I walked in their door. Turns out that JB HiFi can do the Telstra data SIM. And with a professional sales team at JB HiFi, it's a no brainer.

Lazy staff. 15 minutes wait between each customer is not acceptable. If we cannot see that you are chatting and texting on your phone while we are asked to wait, we would have not asked if you want us to return after one hour.

Firstly zero would be given if possible. Today I went to enter the store and was approached before even getting into the store by a male staff member with the question of "what do you want?". After telling him I had an enquiry I was told to sit on a lounge and wait as more ppl had walked into the store and were looking at phone products. When I was told to sit with a female staff member the same male staff member stood over me like a police interrogation when obviously he couldnt help me. Then when I was making my enquiry the male staff member started to talk to female in another language infront of me. So telstra please exolain why staff members now look like they work in a call centre and not willing to give helpful face to face service as I thought thats what your stores were all about. If I wanted this type of service as you can see i know how to operate online services
