FILO LASA

I always buy Garlic rice from this place. I bought it again and then went home straight away. I dont live far but by the time I got home, the garlic rice was off. I placed it in the fridge and decided to go back and raise it with the staff that it was off. However, I was surprised by the way I was treated by the chef in returning the unsafe, rotten, and spoiled rice. I explained to him that it had a sour taste and smell. But rather than apologising, he refused to believe me and started questioning me why. He opened the container and had a taste himself before replying back in a stoic manner, It is not off. He was so unprofessional and rude. Its clear he does not know how to deal with a customer. He was defensive and kept justifying to the staff member at the front serving customers that it was not rotten. I will not recommend this place if you intend to complain about the food being off. The girl at the front counter was apologetic and was respectful about the situation. However, very disappointing from the chef. As a chef, its important that he complies with the food safety regulations. However, the chef here was too defensive when trying to tell him his food was off. I never expected this so this is really disappointing from Filo Lasa.

If you are new to filo desserts- get the cassava cake and the ube milkshake. Its worth the $
