I was initially surprised at the controversial reviews of Dr Chi Can Huynh during my initial research prior to our appointment. However, after talking to him, I can definitely say that the negative reviews do not line up with my experience. Dr Huynh was professional, well spoken and very considerate towards me. Rather than jumping to expensive procedures, he suggested to start off with some light medication and to consider riskier procedures later. He was patient when explaining his conclusions and ensured that he heard my opinions on them. In fact, I asked him of the cutting accusations made about him. His response was very personal, and reminded me of how easy it is to baselessly defame someone on the internet. Be careful of what you believe online. The hysterical language in the negative reviews tell you a lot about the people writing them. I suggest anyone who is still unsure to give Dr Huynh a chance. Form your own conclusions rather than relying on the word of others.

I can highly recommend Dr Huynh and his practice. This Dr puts his patients first and foremost.

My journey into the world of prostate cancer began with an elevated result from a PSA test, and a referral from my GP to urologist, Dr Chi Can Huynh. There followed a well-worn path taken by many before me through MRI scans, a prostate biopsy, and bone scans culminating in a radical prostatectomy at Bega Hospital as a public patient. The information and options presented by Can, ably assisted by his office manager, Angie, together with my own reading and research into the disease, presented a pathway that was pretty clear. Following an administrative bungle at Bega Hospital, my scheduled procedure was cancelled after a 10 week wait. It was only the efforts of Dr Huynh that saved the day, and my procedure was put back on the theatre schedule, for which I am boundlessly grateful to Can. The operation went well and I was home recuperating after two days. My recovery has gone smoothly, and incontinence and impotence issues are being dealt with satisfactorily. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Huynh, should you need a urologist. I found him informative, kindly and competent, such that, having gone through the processes to deal with this disease, I feel a debt of gratitude toward Can for assisting me in getting to a health outlook that is now pretty optimistic.

I can say without hesitation that Dr Huynh saved my life! He correctly diagnosed that I had prostate cancer when others had failed to detect it and he then performed radical robotic prostatectomy at Macquarie University Hospital. The whole procedure went extremely well and I have nothing but praise for all involved especially Dr Huynh, Angie and the post operative nurse Hong. The cancer was completely removed (confirmed by follow up tests) and I was pretty much back to normal a couple of months after the operation - testimony to Dr Huynh's expertise. Having access to a specialist such as Dr Huynh in Bega and Moruya makes things much easier and demonstrates his professional commitment and dedication (regularly travelling to the NSW south coast from Sydney). Throughout the whole process everything was clearly explained to me and I was never left wondering. Dr Huynh is THE specialist I would recommend to anyone with prostate issues or concerns.
