Review update October 2022 - so far very disappointed with Simonds , if you building in central coast NSW I suggest you do-not build with Simonds , I assume they are good in VIC , once contract signed there is no regard, all staff are extremely busy with other customers. , My construction is riddled with issues and no one will give you accurate updates , they will hide/ downplay the issue . For existing customer if you building with Simonds be very careful. Get an independent inspector to monitor the work. So far the site supervisor I have, are unprofessional and rude individuals , there is limited assistance you could expect from the Simonds staff. Be very vigilant they will try to do sub standard work to cut corners . I will keep this review updated as my build progresses. Review update May 2023 - The house is sitting with numerous defects and unfinished work . It seems you get no answer from anyone .. customer success will forward your issues to your SS who will blame everything on the world for the delays . Except the answer of work completion. The as said previously, NSW Simonds is not suitable as builder . Do not be fooled . Services: Home building, Electrical work, Luxury home building, Plumbing fixture installation, Design, Foundation pouring

unfortunately, I am one of the unlucky few who had a terrible experience with Simonds Home. I am writing this to express my immense disappointment and frustration with Simonds Home, which has caused us to endure the worst building journey imaginable. The lack of time management, communication, and professionalism has turned our dream home into a living nightmare. Our contract specified a 38-week building period with an estimated completion date in February 2023. However, we are now facing a three-month delay with no reasonable handover date in sight. The fixing stage was finished in December 2022, and the completion stage began five months into the nine-month contract. Despite this, Simonds Home has failed to provide a clear PCI date or deadline. Adding to our frustration, the external front scaffolding, scheduled for removal twice in February, remains untouched. This lack of progress is utterly unacceptable and demonstrates Simonds Home's disregard for their clients' needs. Simonds Home inefficiency has caused us extreme hardship. We had ordered furniture for delivery in March, which we postponed until May, but we still have no certainty about when our house will be ready. We now face the additional burden of finding storage for our belongings. Despite contacting Simonds Home, explaining our situation, and requesting the house be completed by May, we have received no appropriate response to our complaint letter. We feel utterly hopeless and helpless as Simonds Home continues to ignore our concerns and offers no clarity on when our house will be completed. I cannot emphasize enough how poorly we have been treated and would strongly advise potential clients to avoid Simonds Home for their building projects. This experience has been nothing short of a disaster, and we deserve better.

I am not building with Simonds, but my neighbour is. Their ill-experienced, and I assume cheap contractors have excavated beyond the boundary, removing land and rock that supports the slab of our water tank. We have paid for surveyors to prove this negligence. We have failed OC because of safety issues arisen from their negligence. We have a finished house that we cannot move into because Simonds refuses to take responsibility, and instead passes this issue onto their client. We dont view our neighbour (their client) as the responsible party to fix this damage. We view Simonds/their contractors responsible for the negligent use of a vehicle to cause damage to another property. It is exceptionally unfair for our neighbours or other potential Simonds clients to be taking on this responsibility that could cost excessive amounts of money if not fixed in a timely manner. Encroachment, subsidence, and building defects may continue if nothing is done to fix this issue (its already been 2 months since it occurred). Simonds continually say we have not been contracted by your neighbour to build a retaining wall, as though we are meant to accept that somehow their contract also gives permission for Simonds to cause damage to neighbouring homes? Simonds has zero regard for the Conveyancing NSW that states Section 177 imposes a duty of care on any person not to do anything on land, which supports other land, which may cause damage by removing the support provided. I have not entered a contract with Simonds, yet here I am picking up the pieces, paying for extra survey reports and building inspections - all the while not legally being allowed to live in my house. I have been continually gaslit by their customer success manager; and I just want an outcome! How is it fair to me, to wait an indefinite amount of time to be legally allowed to live in my house because of the actions of Simonds? So I urge you, if you are on the look out to engage a negligent builder who will ensure you have issues to fix for yourself and your neighbours for years to come, please pick Simonds.
