While the process of placing my parents in respite & then permanent residency was filled with great changes to their environment & daily routines, the admin, carers & RN staff were only too willing to ensure their journey was with minimal stress & calm.

DO NOT put your family member here. At this moment in time, the staff are stressed to the max, by the demands that the very profitable company "Bupa" continues to put on them. Always understaffed, staff are never replaced when they go on leave or call in sick. This has left my mum in an unsafe environment, unsupervised for long periods of time. She sustained a head injury and no one reported it. Cockroaches & poo found in her room. My mum was attacked by another resident and put into hospital. Complete negligence of care and safety towards all residents in secure locked down areas. Management are a nightmare to deal with, unempathetic and callous. There is some amazing staff but most of them have left. The culture of this company, comes from the top and some staff have become so institutionalized, they can no longer see what is the right thing to do. Once the Bupa institution gets you in, and fills their pockets with money they do not care about you or your family member.

My elderly nearly 90 year old mother Estelle resided at Bupa Care Banora Point for a year.It was an excellent experience for both of us.As my mother is a vegetarian ,her food needs were catered for without fuss. The chef was just excellent ensuring my mother had a nutritious diet.My mother cannot walk and the nursing staff were very caring. My mother was kept very clean and as my mother has resided in several aged care facilities, Bupacare at Banora was the best so far.In the previous aged care facility the food was abysmal and the care was not good. The only reason I relocated my mother to an aged care facility on the Sunshine coast was that my husband and I bought a house .The care manager at Bupa and other staff were excellent in facilitating the move.I am so grateful to all the staff.Whilst Mum resided at Bupa Care she was often placed outside in the garden in open air and often there were concerts.Mum made good friends and I can honestly say the care and service was excellent ,including the food.Everything was kept very clean and the infection control standards were very good. What I really liked was if I had a problem ,the staff actually tried to resolve the problem and their excellent interpersonal communication made resolution easy.My mother had a lovely room with views of the bush outside.Well done and all the best to all the staff. I am so grateful to you all! Best Regards Suzanne Brown
