Goat Island, famous for gunpowder stowage, hosting convicts, the first harbourmasters house, Green Day & Midnight Oil, and being the film set for Water Rats. Being a national park it is a requirement that you book in advance with the authorities if youd like to visit. Otherwise, youll have to go with a tour like Sydney Tall Ships. Land is in the process of being handed back to the original owners; many of the historical buildings are under threat of falling into disrepair and/or being bulldozed.
