Bush Balance

The best playgroup in Sydney. Deborah has set-up the most beautiful space for open-ended nature play. It's fun, creative and so relaxing. My son and I had the best time on our first visit and will definitely become regulars.

Both my kids did Bush Balance for two seasons before we migrated back to Ireland. We loved it so much and it was particularly interesting in the wet. I just asked my son what he misses about Australia and he said Bush Balance this is how I've ended leaving a review 6 months after leaving Australia . Luckily my son has been going to Forest School in Ireland

My wife took our son there and she said it was brilliant. The facilitor Kate was warm and inviting and very approachable. My wife liked how nobody is expected to fit into a box, which we feel is important when kids are being kids. She said all the parents were welcoming and easy to talk to and it was great to see a mixture of mums, dads, carers and grandparents there. The activities were all play based and guided by the kids and the wilderness surrounding them. The equipment and tools were great quality and lots of fun. We were a bit worried that there wouldn't of been very many kids our sons age (aged 2) there but to our suprise there was a balanced diverse mixture of ages which was fabulous as it adds to the fun. We highly recommend bush balance.

I spent one morning at Bush Balance and wish I could go every week. It was just as beneficial for me to spend a morning out in nature as it was for my son. I loved all the materials provided and how they inspired the kids' play. There were saws, hand drills, buckets, rope and pulleys, as well as water paints and an amazing selection of picture books about nature.
