Dog-friendliness: Some off the lead areas but overall a great place to walk dogs! Picnic area: Can probably set up a picnic at the top of the little hill but it's more of a walking track I think

A great suburban reserve with lots of single track and fire trail walks. The excessive rain this year (2022) has meant quite a few boggy areas and some fallen trees. The reserve is usually kept in good condition though at times, in summer, the grass can become very high which is not ideal when snakes are about. I have come across several over the years. There are often kangaroos grazing though severe culling each season means the numbers are much lower than they used to be. The top of the Pinnacle is a vantage point for 360 degree views of Canberra. Once, before the recent developments of the Stromlo corridor, it was almost just bushland and Brindabella range views. There are some decent hills for those who like a challenging run or walk. Dogs allowed on a leash only. Very peaceful most days
